sooo... generator works now!
it got oil change. funnily crankcase held 2.5l oil while engine spec is 1.1l or whenever it overflows from fill port. no idea how they got it all in. did they flipped it onto it's side for filling? other reasons would be fuel getting into oil. i mean engine has compression and works. overfill supposely foams it up so it won't oil well, makes more resistance for crankshaft, could blow head gasket, could get oil into cylinder. it got Castrol Power 1 Racing 4T 10W-30, fully synthetic
it got new ngk spark plug, the existing one had cracked insulator and less than 0.8mm gap. new one is no longer made in japan :( now it's taiwan
got new air filter which is somehow smaller than (presumably) oem one. i had to remove rubber plug and metal washer from old one in order screw it down. now case needs something between it and filter...
finally it got carburator overhaul. since it was getting late and i couldn't be arsed to find solvents i grabbed random 3mm twig from bush and rubbed the varnish off. for jet i cut-pulled a thin ribbon from plastic packing strap. flathead was indoors. i found jet 50% clogged up, no wonder it was only giving out 2kw max. managed to sadly crack a intake gasket a little bit. it's fragile heatproof material after all
after all those work, i was able to pull 4kw from it with one 2kw space heater and one 2kw heat gun. tiny inductive component from motors. it's rated 4kva 230v 17.4a. voltage is all ok judging by my fluke 117. struggles to keep frequency at 50hz with maximum load tho. maybe ok. voltage is ok, 230v
in future it gets meters for v/a/hz. digital and analog working hour counters. perhaps rcd. extra breaker. and i could run it's output via some old powerware online upses. largest one i have is 3kva. this makes it a makeshift inverter generator
